Supervised by Abby Penson, Ph.D., Lic PSY21602

Snowden holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University.

Life is full of big transitions. Whether it’s a child finding her footing in school, a young adult figuring out who she is, or a couple trying to find their way back to each other, Snowden helps clients feel less alone in the in-between and more confident about what comes next.

Much of Snowden’s clinical training has focused on young people, and she has a particular gift for connecting with girls in the middle school years, a stage when anxiety, friendships, body image, and identity can suddenly feel overwhelming. She has worked with children and adolescents facing anxiety, depression, trauma, anger, ADHD, self-esteem and body image struggles, eating-related concerns, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, and challenges at school or at home. She offers kids and teens a space where they feel genuinely heard and taken seriously, while partnering with parents and families, whom she sees as an essential part of a young person’s healing and growth.

Snowden also works with adults, and is especially passionate about supporting women and anyone navigating a major life change. Her interests include, but are not limited to, mood and anxiety disorders, panic attacks, ADHD, self-esteem and body image, identity exploration, dating and attachment, breakups, and relationship difficulties. With couples, she helps partners strengthen communication, reconnect emotionally, understand their attachment patterns, and build or rebuild the foundations that matter most to them.

Snowden believes no two clients need the same thing, so she tailors her work to each person, drawing from, but not limited to, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Attachment theory, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), mindfulness, and somatic approaches. Therapy with her is collaborative and nonjudgmental, a place to explore who you are, understand your patterns, and gain clarity about what you want from your life and relationships. She sees her role as walking alongside her clients, meeting them where they are and honoring their pace. She provides LGBTQIA+ affirming care and welcomes clients to explore identity, relationships, and self-expression freely.

Above all, Snowden hopes her clients feel genuinely seen, heard, and validated as they move toward greater self-understanding and a life that feels authentically their own.
